The Small leaved Lime is Native in England and Wales, particularly on limestone. The leaf is shortly and neatly cordate, and often exhibits scarlet Nail galls . It flowers in July, usually after the Large leaved Lime, with whitish flowers.  The fruit are unribbed. .
