E01: Asiatic Birch: Betula platyphylla szechuanica

Introduced from Western China in 1908 the white bark continues right up ito the crown of the tree. The leaves are generally large and covered with small shining dots on the upper surface. This tree was planted in 1985 and came down after a storm in 2022
