Everyone's Childhood Fantasy
Time to play in mud and not get told off. The Pond had not been cleared in living memory, and as a result the water was only 5-10 cm deep, the rest being mulp ( a technical term ). and together with the Council and Richard James of RJ aquatics, Swindon, we agreed a plan to empty the pond, spread the mulp on the beds, trim and reduce the water lilies and restock the other plants. This was completed over two days. SOmeon had the glorious idea of phoning the fire brigade who came to our rescue and filled the pond in half an hour. Both parties were very pleased with the result.
We will be addressing the pump problem over the next 18 months with a view to providing a permanent solution by 2022.
